Woot!
After wasting a serious amount of time browsing theme directories or manipulating code on my existing Genesis theme, I decided to, at last, install a new theme here at Comluv.com
It’s been a bit of a journey getting it ready.
hard coding work, in fact.
But, it’s here at last!
ThemeForest
I only had to spend $45 to get the theme from ThemeForest and I wrote an accompanying plugin to manipulate it in to doing exactly what I wanted.
I only had to edit the themes core files twice to fix a typo or bug that existed already until the theme owner can update it.
What do you think?
I know I will need to keep tweaking little things as I go along but right now, I am too tired!

This new theme should be compatible with the rel=”author” as long as you include your google + profile and have added comluv.com to the list of sites that you contribute to.
Make sure you add all your details so the fancy author box can let people follow you, like your page and see your other guest posts.

Hi Andy,
Change is the only constant in life, isn’t that what they say?
Indeed, there are times, when one must bring down the old to make way for the new, this is one of those times. It feels like a refreshing new take, ComLuv should be seen in a fresh perspective now.
As of now, I haven’t encountered any glitches, things are going smooth, I hope it remains that way.

Looks good dude! A lot more modern than the last one! I got a free theme last month and completely ripped it apart that now is totally unrecognizable from the original.
I made my own author box as well using Dreamweaver and fireworks which looks great on my blog now.
I love the scrolling effects on the home page and the little icons in the footer, there very nice touches!
I would like to get a free theme and fix it but I am so terrible at design and looks. I do code and logic which are not usually good skills for great looking design!

I do both but I do prefer to code rather than design, although i am OK at design I am much better at php mysql and custom javascript! Am just developing my own Social Network at the mo from scratch which is taking a while to make! just developed a nice little random hashing script to mash up my user passwords using cript, salt and blowfish

hey Jay, my old theme started to slow down quite a lot and I couldn’t find another magazine style theme that was responsive on their site so I just moved to a new type.
nothing wrong with Genesis but my tests showed this theme to have a slightly better response time with my existing data.

Umm, can’t say I like it much.
For me, it’s very busy and the home page is found particularly so. All that scrolling stuff is very distracting. Just my 2 cents worth. I’ll still love you though

I like the new theme. I think the site looks better and more cohesive. It is nice to know that you went with Themeforest and not studiopress/thesis/genesis. It seems like so many bloggers rave about the really high end themes that it make it feel like we must be lame to not want to spend $300 for a theme. If a $45 theme is good enough for a site like comluv, that is pretty impressive.

I have came across themeforest couple of times but I was just bumping my head into StudioPress and was not able to find anything suitable for my current needs. Themeforest really has quite a bit of selection to pick from.

Your current current theme – News theme is much better than the last one from Themeforest.
Keep up the good work but still knowing a little bit of coding is a plus point when changing the theme on the blog.
