The latest update to commentluv is ready. It seems for each major update 1.9 -> 2.0 and 2.5 -> 2.7 there were some quick updates for the first 2 days. This happens because so many people use the plugin in so many different blog themes and settings types that it’s inevitable that there will be things I couldn’t have predicted.
This blog is now running v2.7.4 of CommentLuv. Please give it a test so I can see it’s behaving properly by commenting on this post.

yep it’s still my birthday. I have had no interruptions all day and I came up with some new ways of doing things which I’m quite pleased with. what a great day!
I guess I am one of the early adopters, although I never made a big fuss out of this – other bloggers display badges, write blog entries etc.
So let’s see if the updates work. The site I am linking at is a news blog and under “submit comment” there is a “no blog posts found” message, which is erroneous.

I don’t see the 2.7.4 update in my dashboard – only 2.7.3. I could update manually, but I’m now enjoying the automatic update feature in my dashboard. When will it hit the WP update section?

thanks for the feedback Mihaela, I think your google feedburner address is the problem. in your header it is /feed/ and it forwards to http://feedproxy.google.com/EverythingPR and it can be viewed on http://feeds2.feedburner.com/EverythingPR
maybe your feedsmith plugin needs updating now that google own feedburner and use feeds2. feedburner addresses?

it takes a few minutes (up to 30) for the wordpress.org page http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/commentluv/ to get updated when i do the svn commit

Hi Andy, when I updated to the latest version of CommentLuv, it no longers works on my blog. I loved your plugin so I’m really sad it no longer works. It is activated. I’ve looked at the settings and had a my web developer look at them, and can’t find anything. It just no longer shows up. Thanks, Dee

I am having some problem. In my recent post I see something weird happening due to CommentLuv.
I see some symbols ” =-.< ” appear after the name/link of the post. Why it that?
There is one more problem when I enable the heart symbol after the post link it shifts the comments slightly to the right. If I disable it, there is no shifting.

I have left the show heart option enabled so that you can see what has happened. Please assist me through this problem.

Dee: it looks as though your theme is missing a vital command in the comments.php file . it needs to have <?php do_action(‘comment_form’, $post->ID); ?> before the </form> tag so commentluv knows where to put the badge and check box

agent: please send me a list of your activated plugins. it looks as if one of them is messing with your comments after commentluv adds the span to wrap the last post. there have been 3 people with this problem (including you) and so far, when i install the theme on my test machine, commentluv still works so it must be a plugin doing the nasty
please submit a support ticket with the plugins you have activated and I’ll try and replicate the problem
