So you want to learn how to create a successful blog and be a top blogger. The key to your success is contained in a single word: content. But even more important than content is great content.
Your blog has no chance of growing without great content, and the more great content you have, the faster your blog will grow. Yet knowing that you need great content doesn’t tell you how to create a successful blog. You still need to learn how to create great content.
How To Create Great Content
Great content solves someone’s problem, either directly or by teaching them the solution so they can implement it. Great content tells them everything they need to know without wasting their time on unnecessary details.
But what problems do you solve? The hard problems in life require hard solutions, but hard solutions rarely interest people. The easy problems in life people can solve themselves. What you want when you learn how to create a successful blog are easy solutions to medium-difficulty problems.
How To Create A Successful Blog Solution
The first step to creating a successful blog solution is to find a medium-difficulty problem. Decide what type of problem you want to solve and then look for particular examples of it on other blogs, Twitter, and Facebook.
You want to find an actual person who has the problem. If you can’t find someone with the problem, then it probably isn’t an important enough problem to help other people solve.
After you find someone with the problem, investigate how people with the problem look for the solution. Open your keyword research tools, such as Google AdWords, and find search queries people enter to find the solution to the problem. Choose one of the search terms and make it your page keyword phrase; you’ll put the keyword phrase in your title, first paragraph, and last paragraph to help search engines find your solution.
Then start writing a blog about your solution. This method is also great for creating an ebook to sell. All people want is their problem solved.
How To Get Other People To Read Your Blog
Great content is your blog’s number one asset, but you also need to market your blog to potential readers. Your chief marketing tool is search engine ranking-how close to the top of the search results your blog posts appear. The best way to prove your value to search engines is by attracting incoming links from other blogs in your niche.
Your niche is the collection of blogs who all write about the same subject as you. These are people who share your interest in your subject, so the best way to get them to link to your site is by befriending them. Visit their sites, leave insightful comments on their blog, link your blog to them, and send them friendly email. Help their blogs become successful and they’ll help your blog become successful.
Great content and friends are the key to how to create a successful blog.
Great post, creating a good blog really does take dedication and research, but also updates because i do see many blogs with old content still ranking high in search engines. For example SEO blogs that haven’t been updayed.
All i am saying is updates are important not to mis lead the reader.

These days google is working smart. They display results which are latest. For eg, if I am searching for some how to”, google tries to show me latest results.

Thanks altos. i love your successful blogging ideas. one thing i would like to share that, we have to share best content. because content is king and it cover the whole SEO elements. whether a newbies or professional blogger, every post should be share as holistic approached. Because people are searching some queries to solve their problem, if anyone share misleading information then it will be harmful. so that blogging is not hard but pure blogging is really hard to share a resourceful content.

@Mitz, has correctly pointed out the one main character any blogger and its blog has need to be “Cares to help others”.

I had a blog on one of my other sites, but eventually took it down. WHY? it became too time consuming, plus, I lost interest in it. Although, some money was being made, I just got “bored” in posting relevant and current articles. So, you have to enjoy what you are doing, plus, you have to generate traffic somehow in order to generate some money as well!
So, just because my blog was a success (in my opinion) – it does NOT make, or rather, did NOT make me content. So, do what makes you happy and the fruits of your labor will fall into place.

Content creation for me is not that tough because I try to blog on the subjects that are in my daily routine. This helps me to do my regular work as well as give me new ideas on what to blog about. Maybe that is why it is said that one should research the niche properly before starting a blog.

One question, do you ever find it hard to come up with new unique content after writing on the same niche for so many years? I do understand the concept that if you’re passionate about your niche then you will always have something to say. But I was just curious.
