How To Do Affiliate Marketing Make Money

As the result of the power of making money online, the affiliate marketing business was born. Affiliate marketing is online partners’ network that is responsible of referring business directly to merchant salespage. While he merchant make money spreading the product to multiple affiliates for marketing, each affiliate can make generous commission without dealing with the inventory or payment to the product. In other words, if you want to make money online, you will definitely want to know about how to do affiliate marketing.

If you are thinking of how to do affiliate marketing when you have no experience? It is not as hard as you think. The core to the business is the merchant will pay an affiliate when the customer buys. However, you need to take note that not all merchants are good pay master. There are cases when the merchant stop paying the affiliate after a while. To avoid this, you might think it is best to join an affiliate network. Unfortunately, not all merchants are trustworthy even in a trustworthy network.

So as an affiliate marketer, you need to keep in mind that the affiliate market is composed of 4 key players that include: the retailer, publisher (being the affiliate), network, and end-users. To some products, it is possible to be flooded with secondary key player, the super affiliates. These are the affiliates who perform exceptionally well with the product. They probably made all the money while you are struggling to decide whether to market the affiliate product through organic or paid advertising.

One must understand that how to do affiliate marketing may require complex marketing procedure. It is sometimes based on a campaign that is already pre-designed. Some affiliates use ordinary marketing method like search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing and article marketing, while others go for offline marketing at times.

How to do affiliate marketing? You can do that by driving more traffic to your affiliate website and one of the ways is through banner ads. Imagine you have decided to run your affiliate marketing business with the acne niche. The first thing you want to do is to determine whether the website is worth advertising on. You can then follow the tips below

1. Go to Alexa and search for the website of your desire.

2. Look at the Alexa traffic rank, and a personal recommendation is to look for the website with number less than 100,000.

3. The reason for step 2 is not just for website that can give you good conversion but to also give you a chance to target your traffic.

4. When you are in the affiliate marketing business, having traffic is not enough. You need targeted traffic and step 3 is to give you a detail picture whether the website is worth your advertising money.

For example, if you were to advertise on a website that focuses on female topics, you should look at the audience tab to make sure that the visitors do possess purchasing power to buy your affiliate offer.

By the way, when you are trying to advertise on a website, make sure that the audiences are the same as your prospects. Let’s look at the acne niche as example. Although weight loss and acne both fall in the health and beauty niche, there is no point for you to advertise in a weight loss website even though it has a wonderful traffic rank.

When you are in paid advertising, there shouldn’t be any guess work.

5. Once you have determined the website for advertising, you should contact the website owner for the pricing. You can get the contact detail at the Contact Us page or The Who Is domain page at any domain provider website.

You need to feed the details such as banner size, your niche and other requirements to the designers so that they can fulfill your expectation accordingly.

Needless to say, it is always wise to come to agreement with the designer to how many times the banner can and should be revised. That is why you need to be very sure to what you want in your banner before you contact the designer for a job.

A quick trick to get over this kind of hurdle is to take the banner that you like and get the designer to work on an improved version. That way, both you and the designer will have a foundation to start with.

Lastly, when you are in affiliate marketing, you need to take note that no strategy is perfect. Even though you found the website with less than 100,000 page rank and nice monthly traffic, there are still other reasons that your offer won’t convert. That’s why you need to test and track and do it again and that can sometime turn into a huge amount of money.

But the good news is that affiliate marketing has been proven to help you to generate more income. In a market where all 4 players are intertwined, one is indispensable as the other.     Money can be made via affiliate marketing, but it’s a lot harder and requires much more work than most people think. Simply writing decent articles and posting them onto a website with a generic WordPress theme will not get you rich. This is a good article that highlights, in my opinion, what it takes to really succeed in internet marketing.

    While I think your suggestions are useful for an inexperienced affiliate marketer, I think that anyone who wants to be high levels of success cannot rely on something like banner advertisements. At a certain point, having one’s own website–even if it just a simple niche blog–is a necessity in order to move up the ranks of the internet marketing world.

    I really liked some of your tips and tricks. Very handy. I sometime do outsource my banners to fiverr. You can get a good design for only like $5 sometimes you have to pay extra for different formats but still works out really cheap

      Correct me if I am wrong because I know that you can get the estimation to the websites that are not using Alexa toolbar. If you want more details to the demographic then one might need to have Alexa toolbar.

      By the way, the Alexa result is just an estimation and might not be accurate at times.

    A great strategy to use to find banner spots, but I would not rely on Alexa at all.

    Their data showings are not accurate most of the time.

    I would use buysellads.com to find credible advertisers.

      I too have problem targeting customer when I started the business. But if you are willing to work on it and learn along the way, I believe you can make money with the business.

      If you decided to start the business, I’ll suggest you focus on a few ways that you feel comfortable with to target your customers and build your confidence with them.

      You can then move on to new ways if you want to…

      Promoting someone elses product is the core to affiliate marketing. Ready make product for marketing, to me is quite fair. Because I don’t need to come up with the money to make my own product, inventory and logistics.
