Know what they are looking for
How would you like to know what someone was searching for to get to your post before they get there?
That’d be really useful. Imagine you have a post to promote your latest ebook on growing tomatoes and it’s getting some search traffic and you have a plugin that tells you how people are finding you on the search engines.
The plugin tells you that people are using terms like “best fertilizer for tomatoes” or “when to plant tomatoes”. Now, it’s really good that they’re finding your post with those terms but what if you put those exact terms high up in the post. Or maybe made bullet points with those exact things.
Kind of like this,
Buy my great ebook on growing tomatoes!
This ebook will teach you …
- What’s the best [easyazon-link asin=”B001REDIZ2″ locale=”us”]fertilizer for tomatoes[/easyazon-link]
- [easyazon-link asin=”1580171575″ locale=”us”]When to plant tomatoes[/easyazon-link] this year
- When to pick your crop
- How to stop bugs from eating your crop
- …etc
Do you think that your post would get much better rankings for those terms now that you know people are already coming in for them? The answer is of course, yes!
What if you could also make those terms affiliate links? Don’t you think you could also make money on those too?
haha, yes!
Get the plugin to do the work for you
I wrote a special plugin that adds a new button to your sidebar which will allow you to find the exact terms people are using to find your posts. It’ll be much easier to do on page SEO if you know what to add.
It works with a freely available plugin so that you can see what exact traffic your old posts are getting right there in the posts page.
