You Really Can Earn Money Online From Home

You Really Can Earn Money Online From Home

There is a big difference between earning money and making money. Earning money is something where you put your hard work and actually work for someone. Making money is something you come up with yourself; you are your own boss. Naturally most people aspire to the latter, but where do you start?

Do you need some extra cash? Well then… Start by earning some money. The best way to break into e-business is to start working in the field. You can earn a little side money and keep your eye on what other entrepreneurs are doing.

Earn Money on Ebay

When someone says “˜extra cash,’ the first thing that comes to most of our minds is Ebay. Ebay is an online marketplace where you can buy and sell products online. You can earn money with Ebay by just selling off items in your house that are no longer in use. Not only can you make additional income, but some people actually make their entire living buying and selling this way.

Pay to Click Websites

We’ve all seen these banner ads:

“Earn money from home… I make $2000 a week with no training…”

Yeah, trust your instincts on this one. It’s pretty much a scam.

These sites do exist, and they do pay, but the entire business model is rather fraudulent and you won’t be building much of a college fund with your earnings. PTC websites are websites that pay you a certain amount of money for clicking advertisements. Normally, websites pay about 1 cent per click, so, the more ads you click the more money you receive. Sounds great, right? Clicking on one ad every 2 seconds you should be able to make $18/hour!

Not so fast, Kemo Sabe.

There’s a catch. There are limited number of advertisers, on most sites available ads range between five to fifteen per day. The moral issue of clicking on ads with no intention of buying or even interest in the product aside, you’ll be lucky to pull down $4-$5 a month.

On the other hand we’re only talking a few minutes a day, work doesn’t get much easier, and you’ll get a great daily tour of e-business models.

Providing Online Services

There are a lot of services out there that you can provide to people and are the most easiest, yet highest returns:

  • Make money writing: If you can write, then you can easily pull in a few hundred dollars a month. Usually people make up to $5 per article which is 500+ words.
  • Do tedious jobs: I often see web designers offering money to people for doing something tedious. It usually includes copying and pasting content onto pages, uploading images and pages, and other simple things.
  • Blog commenting: Blog commenting can be quite useful to website owners trying to increase their online presence. You can usually put up a thread telling about your services and charge fees of $10 for twenty comments or so.
  • Promoting services: When a new website opens the owners often solicit help in promoting them. This is a great way to earn money and make friends.

There are plenty of easy ways to make and earn money online. You’re not likely to make a fortune but it’s a good way of getting you some extra cash. Keep your eye on the business models of the people you work with, live within your means and hang on to some of your money as savings, and in a few years you may even have some good ideas and enough money socked away to start a business of your own.  Understanding the difference between earning money and making money is the first step. Don’t just quit your day job and jump in. Start slow. Learn the ropes. Understand the risks, and earn money along the way.
