I’ve been mentioning it for weeks and finally the price for advertising on comluv.com has gone up to a more realistic price. I tried to keep it as low as I could and I have kept all existing subscription payments at the same level so if you bought an ad spot before and set it to subscription, you’ll still get the old price for as long as you keep it active.
PageRank
It looks like google may have done it’s pagerank update, other sites I am involved in have changed and ComLuv.com has retained it’s PR6 ranking which is awesome news for advertisers and even better news for those that got in early with their subscriptions!!
Ads sold out!
The only ads that are left are the banner ads on the homepage and sidebar and the sitewide footer ads, all the featured links have been sold and most are on subscription already so if you try to buy one, you’ll have to go in the queue. There can be up to 8 people in the queue and once it’s full, everyone else will have to wait.
Stricter Blog Rules
When I started the sub-blog part of this site, there as a massive influx of sites created that were nothing more than link farms or supplimental redirects to existing blogs. I have been trying to maintain the whole site and some of these sites have been created by known spammers which is really bad for the whole network.
Rather than try to go through the 2500+ blogs and moderate each one, I have set up a script that will automatically deactivate a blog if it has been expired for 3 months or more. Legitimate users can easily request to have it reactivated or use the built in functions to purchase a years activation with paypal or their mobile.
Once a site has been deactivated for 3 months (making 6 months since any activity was monitored), it will be deleted permanently! It’s a shame I don’t have the unlimited resources to keep them all but I’m sure you understand that these abandoned sites are making the network slower for everyone.
Sponsored Posts
I will be making occasional sponsored posts to the site which will get sent out to the email subscribers. This sort of thing can help an awful lot towards paying the ever increasing bandwidth and hosting fees as well as the regular upgrades to the server memory and hardware.
If it wasn’t for the sponsored posts, I’d have to start charging the users (that’s you!) to have commentluv on their site and I really don’t think that would be a good idea so, if you want to keep commentluv free to use, install and take advantage of then please give the sponsored posts some attention and visit their site. I promise not to put any old shite up and I will personally vett each and every advertiser who wants to receive the luv and attention that only a commentluv user can give
(plus, if I can get enough money in from this, I’ll be able to sponsor more contests and give most of it back to the site, server and the most important people – YOU!)
Watch out for awesomes
Please come and visit the site this month, I have some super wonderful things happening this month and you really don’t want to miss them!!
Thanks for your continued support and membership, I hope you are enjoying the commentluv goodliness
