The credits system was introduced to take care of administrating and controlling of the premium add ons and features that can be put on ComLuv blogs. The plugin is provided by the guys at Premium WPMU (you can download it here) and it’s been modified to integrate with the affiliate plugin (download that here) so any purchases made by a referred member earns the referrer a commission.
You can spend credits on Additonal URLs, default links and a range of upgrades/addons to your Comluv Blog.
There are more packages and addons to come like premium themes, plugins, support, forums and others which you can use your credits on. As the site gets bigger and the wants and needs of the users get more known, more packages can be added as and when needed.
Because all of the plugins by wpmudev premium are constantly updated and improved, they are stable, future proof and best of all, easy to update and extend so if you want to see something on this site, let me know through the support ticket system and I’ll see what I can do!
How to EARN credits
There are 3 major ways you can earn ComLuv credits
1. Generate the most unique clicks for the month to ComLuv on your affiliate link
This will earn you 5 credits
2. Introduce the most new members to ComLuv for the month
This will earn you 10 credits
3. Write an awesome tutorial on your own CommentLuv enabled site about how to use the features of the ComLuv site or plugin. Especially if it has step by step images.
This can earn you from 1 to 20 credits
For numbers 1 and 2, you need to be an active affiliate. It’s free and easy to activate, just visit the dashboard of this site or your comluv sub blog and go to the profile section. There, you can enable affiliate links and start referring people to the network.
An ideal way to do this is by number 3! Writing a tutorial or how-to is a really easy way to promote something, you don’t have to try and pursuade people or sell anything. You just write the steps and show images for what you did to enable this feature or take advantage of that feature and use your affiliate link to point to this site.
People who don’t have CommentLuv or are looking to move their blog to WordPress might see how easy it is from your tutorial and when they join, they become your member and any money they spend on the site will qualify you for real cash commission for the LIFE OF THE MEMBER. That means, every time they pay me, I pay you.
just a test .

you can spend the credits on adding more urls to your account or adding static links to your favourite posts or use them to buy things for your comluv blog like more space or removing adverts.
So what I get from this is that I have to pay to send you traffic, if I am wrong please let me know.

It only takes a few mins to register anyway and it’s free. What is so hard about registering your url?

Hi Andy,
About earning credits with #3 by writing a tutorial: When do you get credit for the tutorial? Do you judge the tutorial and then assign a number of credits from 1 to 20? How does one go about notifying you about a tutorial that’s been created?
Thanks.

There’s no real formal way of submitting a tutorial. The best thing is to link to the commentluv download page which sends a trackback to the post, I usually check them regularly and if I haven’t already given away too many credits then I find the username of the person who wrote the tutorial and assign them some credits.
You can also submit a support ticekt letting me know where the tutorial is and I can check it when I next do the support tickets (every morning and night)

OK, thanks. I will add CommentLuv to my list of tutorials (it’s not a long list). I came around so I could update my version and see what needed to be done in my account, which I had never really used. This will be good fodder for a tutorial. Thanks for the plugin.

Any help you can bring to new users is really useful. Be sure to enable your affiliate account and use your affiliate link to point people to the site so if they aren’t members yet, they will become your member if they join.
As I’m ‘doing the rounds’ looking for blogs in my niches, I always feel most at home and comfortable leaving a longer comment on someone’s blog when I see the comment love logo. Somehow, it seems and feels very friendly as if they are already friends.

HI Andy,
I’ve been a registered user for a few weeks now. I understand that to get listed on the ComLuv search engine people need to have commented on my site.
Despite leaving several comments on other sites (including mentioning how great ComLuv was in a number of them!!), no-one has yet commented on any of my posts and my site still is not getting listed in your search engine.
I’ve also posted to Twitter advertising that our ComLuv enabled blog (providing posts on performance improvement, organisational change, coaching, systems thinking, NLP and sport psychology) is now live.
Build it they will come, they said. Well, it’s built …. and they’re not coming!
Not sure what else to do to get onto the search engine except keep commenting on other sites. Any other ideas???
Best regards,
David

Getting your first lot of comments going on a new blog can take a few weeks, you have to consider what your blog posts are like. Do they ask questions of the reader or are they more like information articles geared towards your business?
When you comment on other sites, try to find ones that are related to yours. Use the commentluv search engine for NLP or other terms your business uses and then leave relevant comments on their site.
Twitter: Watt_Works
says:
I meant to say … perhaps providing a credit system to get an initial listing on the search engine might be useful (moderated of course), so that new bloggers starting out can start getting listed and hence start getting comments?
What do you think?
Best regards,
Dave

the inclusion to the search engine requires your site to have been indexed by google. This can take anything from a few days to a few weeks depending on how many other places it has indexed that have your link on them. Be patient and keep visiting other sites and leaving comments and interacting, if enough people see your site then sooner or later you will attract some that are drawn to your niche.

Guest posting has been opened up on ComLuv now so you are able to get credits every time you have a guest post published. That’s the easiest way to get credits because you can write about whatever you want, it doesn’t even have to be about Commentluv!
so let me get this straight … When I sign up for the affiliate program, I get free credits only if I’m referring the max. no of people (out of all the people using the referral system)?
and only 2 people get free credits each month? (not counting the ones who write about comment luv) …
If I’m reading this right, this is kinda hard for a low traffic website. And if I have a high traffic website, I’d already be earning enough to purchase credits by spending cash …
