We’re halfway through the month of April and there have been just a few changes and updates to the site and plugin.
Big 20K
Comluv now has over 20,000 registered users! Amazing to think it’s got to this many members from a humble wordpress plugin idea. I hope the server can continue to handle the load, it’s close to needing some sort of load balancing and/or more RAM again so fingers crossed that it wont cost more than half an arm and leg!
Better instructions needed
It seems that better instructions are going to be needed to make things a lot more obvious to new users, I will see if I can work with @growmap for some usability analysis and see what needs to be added.
Better stats soon
I’ve made some changes to the way the API stores your requests for last blog posts and after it has had time to collect more stats, I’ll put up some more accurate visit lists and see if I can work on a category or tag based directory of active commentluv sites.
Easter, not over yet
The Easter weekend was a busy period for our takeout shop and I had to work right through it with no day off which means I’m kind of burned out! and, I have to put some more hours into the shop while one of our kitchen staff is away so I’m not going to be online much over the next week or two.
I’ll still be able to catch up on twitter and I can usually answer simple support requests on my laptop while I’m at work so if all goes well, you wont even know I was gone!
Advertisers Shout Out
A big huge thanks to the following advertisers who purchased ads on the site. Your money goes towards the server and really helps me keep this site going!
Web Development Blog. A very neatly laid out and easy to read site where you can find detailed tutorials showing you how to make modifications and creations for anything from WordPress to Google Analytics. Well worth a visit.
Bingo online for what else? Bingo!
Payday Loans UK. A site that shows the huge amount of companies available to borrow money until pay day arrives. Each company has a section where their customers can leave a review and there are a lot of reviews!
Payment Protection Insurance Claims. If you’ve ever paid for protection insurance on a loan then you might be able to claim it back with these guys help. You’ve seen the (UK) tv ads, here’s the website.
You can see the advertising page for rates and purchase options
