I have recently backed up the whole database and server files to a local development machine so I can try out some new code for the things to come to this site.
URL registration process.
Now : updated so it doesn’t throw weird errors if a user already has another account
Future: A new page will be added to allow the registration of more URL’s for your account.
WP version update
Future: Once testing on the local server is done, the core will be updated to 2.8.5.2
Supporter Update
Future: The supporter plugin will be updated to 2.0 which will make it easier to configure and use.
Future: Unlock the permanent payment so any user who refers a paying customer will receive a commission every time that customer pays for something, for the life of the customer.
Credits for extras
Future: There will be a credit system that can be used to buy extra things. Each person who joins gets 5 credits to start with and can use them to purchase extra urls on their account.
Future: This will be tied into the affiliate code so that all purchases will earn the referring person commission for the life of the customer.
Future: You will be able to charge people credits to show a banner ad on your site or write a review. You will then be able to use the credits to upgrade certain parts of your site or get enough and get a years supporter package.
Future: There will be extras like custom themes or your own css files to be used for a few credits.
Continuing referral contest
Now: Last month someone received $15 in their affiliate account for having the most unique clicks from their site or link to the comluv site.
Future: Credits to be awarded to users who write tutorials that link to the main site.
Future: Free 1 year supporter packages to highest referral signups each month.
Intense Debate CommentLuv
Now: Working version.
Future: add in checks for jquery and tidy the code
and more and more! I could go on but my fingers are starting to hurt (it’s bloody cold in my man cave!)

I’ve been wanting to do it for ages but I wanted to work out a way where it wouldn’t get taken advantage of by the people that have 100 blogs (it happend before). I will have something this month I am sure!
thanks for coming by

You can’t be serious? Where in the world can I find that guy who can manage 100 blogs?! I wonder if all of those were legitimate blogs.

that’s my point. there are people with 100′s of blogs that are automated and just online to make the owner money. I have to protect the network from being taken advantage of by unscrupulous bloggers
just to let you know that when you hover over your ‘get it here’ banner the alt text actually says ‘sing up’ and not sign up

thanks for that Mark, I fixed it now.
Andy,
I have asked this before and am respectfully asking again. Regarding comments and links that I see here (as well as on other comluv blogs I have viewed)… why are they “no-follow”?
Isn’t the whole point on comment luv to be able to allow comments as”do-follow” for relevant comments?

says:
the links are nofollow because that’s how wordpress treats links. If you want them to be dofollow then you need to install a dofollow plugin.
the primary purpose of commentluv was to provide a better way for blog owners and visitors to see what the comment authors were writing about and to encourage people to comment. I took out the dofollow code because of the automated bots that trawl for dofollow links and spam the whole site.
Hi Andy
I’ve tried to reach you a couple of times with no success. Can you drop me a line please?
Blessings & Good Cheer
