Has your Opinion Ever been wrong?
What is an Opinion?
Think about this a minute, what is an Opinion? Why do we have an Opinion and where do these Opinions come from? How do we know if our Opinion is shared by anyone else? Have you ever looked at those that either share, or disagree with you as a group, and is this group something that you want to be a part of? Now that you have this image in your head, how do you know which one is right?
In this world we live in today, everyone works hard to “belong” to something, be it a club, a team, “friends” on facebook, or even a gang, we adapt what we “believe” to be that of the group opinion which we are trying to belong to, otherwise, we do not fit and the group won’t accept us, correct?
The Problem with an Opinion based on feelings
Here is the problem, if we form an Opinion based on what others feel, where did these feelings come from? This is a bit like a snow-ball rolling down a snow covered hill, it just gets bigger and bigger, everyone we meet gets picked up and is influenced by our Opinion, soon, it is out of control, and if it has no basis in fact, our opinion can turn a lie into the perceived truth.
The Solution
Never ever take anyone’s word for anything, always do a little research and check the facts for yourself, if you are trying to get into a particular group, that has a dominant Opinion at it’s root, verify it! Look for an opposing opinion (with an open mind) to see if maybe you are missing something. Get into the details, fact-check everything, then, if you find a factual basis to the group’s Opinion, and not just from listening to them, then join, if not, look for another group that shares your new, fact based Opinion!
How do I find an Opposing Opinion?
We have all heard the old saying, “An opinion is like an old pair of shoes, some are just bigger and smellier than others, and everybody has them”, so it is pretty easy to do, but, let me give you a couple easy examples, The Huffington Post and The Blaze, then, once you get all fired up, come to my site, OpinionHead.com and vent! It doesn’t matter where you stand on the issues, it is all about the Opinions, so come share your opinion, it will make you feel better!

Just discovered ComLuv and I think it is a great marketing tool. I am going to recommend it as part of my Affiliate Marketing Training.
Anyways, about my opinion. I have been told I come off condescending when I explain my opinion. Any suggestions so that I don’t sound that way, but still sound like I know what I am talking about?
Any feedback would be great.

Sometimes confidence comes across as arrogance, the best way I have learned to not sound arrogant when I share my opinion, is to ask the opinion of others first, funny thing is, when that person has no clue about the subject, they usually don’t say anything, if they have been “misinformed” they will fire off quickly, and make a lot of excuses for it, yet never accept an opposing opinion, either way, sometimes it is just better to shut-up and let them be, if they truly want your opinion, they will ask for it.

I remember having this thought when I was around 15 after being told repeatedly that I was wrong. My behavior was wrong, my look was wrong, my thoughts were wrong. Suddenly it hit me, says who? Who says your opinion, Mr or Ms Wrong, is right? I think that’s when I started to grow up.

Thank you for the analysis of the the Opinion. Its impact on our life is great, thus deserves attention. Unfortunately, the investigation reports that “speaking one and doing other” is the direct result of a crash of our spirituality. It may look wise to doubt public opinion, yet where such wisdom would lead us?

As always, an Opinion is only as good as the perspective from which it comes, an 18 year old, for example, will look at the same situation as a 30 or 40 year old, but, depending on the life situation of each, you could get 3 completely different opinions, each one correct, from their perspective, however, once God gets added into the mix, everyone should be seeing from His perspective and this will quickly clear up, right and wrong.
The problem today is that “stuff”, cell phones, new cars, or other gadgets, have replaced God in our lives.

The question is: Does he know that you, or anyone else, thinks that he is wrong? Does he know that he is wrong and just won’t admit it? Or, is he really right, and everybody else is wrong?
