A new feature has just been unlocked for ComLuv members that gives you a special referral link that you can use on your own blog when you point people to this site. You’ll be able to track how many unique clicks your link creates and see how many people you refer to sign up for a blog. Even better, you’ll be able to earn a percentage any time someone becomes a premium supporter!
How to enable your links
1. Visit the ‘your profile’ link in your dashboard under ‘Users’
2. Scroll down until you see the ‘Enable Affiliate Links’ pull down menu and select ‘Yes Please’ and enter your paypal email address.
3. Save your settings by clicking ‘Update Profile’
4. Once your profile settings have been saved, you will be able to see your special affiliate link and a field for your site URL.
Using Your Link
You can use the full link to point people to your ComLuv blog and when they click it (as long as they haven’t clicked anyone elses link), they’ll receive a cookie on their machine that will identify them as your referral.
If they go on to sign up as a supporter then you qualify for a percentage of the money they pay which is paid by paypal after a suitable amount of qualifying time.
If you want, you can append the last bit of the link (?ref=admin-63) to a url pointing to the main ComLuv site. It could be to the video tutorials section or the download page for the CommentLuv plugin
You can put these links on any site you like, they don’t have to be from your ComLuv blog.
If you have a separate site or you don’t want to fiddle about with adding extra bits to URLs then enter your site address in the field marked ‘your url’ and anyone coming to the ComLuv site by clicking a link on that site will be recorded as from you.
Tracking your referrals
1. Visit the ‘Your Referrals’ link under ‘Users’ in your dashboard.
2. Bask in the loveliness of the pretty graphs and tables showing how many unique clicks, sign ups and paid members you have referred.
What you can get
As well as feeling all warm and fluffy for introducing people to the wonderful world of ComLuv, you’ll be able to earn money any time someone who clicks your link becomes a supporter. You’ll also be able enter things like the referral contest and win cash money, awesome gadgets, a free years supporter package and much more!
Keep an eye out on the bi-monthly email newsletter that goes out for details.

Cool idea. It always makes sense to join affiliate programs whenever they’re offered and the product is as helpful as this one.
Kinda makes me more eager to get along with my programming course.

I think this is great, but I feel that one needs to refer a lot of people to make it worth while.
Then again I guess that is the whole point.

the idea was to give people a chance to earn off the links to the site that they would put on their own blog anyway. I am going to work on adding more things that can pay a comission like the banner ad sales and future ebooks and custom themes that will be paid for. (eventually)
thanks for visiting!
This is really a nice initiative ..Love it

I love the whole CommentLuv idea and the search engine is outstanding, but I have a question before I install it on a couple of my sites. I have SEO for Firefox installed which highlights nofollow links on any page. EVERY CommentLuv site I’ve visited in the last couple of days, including this one, seem to be giving nofollow links to all of the people who make comments. Did I miss something?

Mike, Wordpress, and I’m sure most other blog platforms have nofollow by default you’d need to use a plugin like Lucia’s LinkyLove (which is what I use) to allow do-follow. With Lucia’s you can set the amount of comments from that commenter before it goes do-follow to cut back on some of the spammy posters.

well, good luck with your zero start business. I started this site with zero (money and coding skills) so I know that it can be done if you believe in what you’re doing.
If you need help or advice about this or that, feel free to contact me. I’ve pretty much seen or heard it all so don’t be afraid to ask!
