merry blogging christmas

If you are a blogger like me, you will definitely want to have a Merry blogging Christmas. Ho Ho Ho! I know you know what I am talking about here. We want to make sales and bring in the blogging Christmas money. Even if you do not celebrate Christmas, you can still partake in the benefits.

Take Advantage Of The Christmas Season

Hurry up you lazy bloggers out there! Have you organized what you are selling for Christmas on your website? Everyone is out shopping, especially online, and looking for Christmas presents for their friends and family. If you want to cash in on the Christmas season you need to get on with it!

How To Get Into The Season

Decorate your website. Don’t over do it though, but put some tinsel up and get into to the spirit. You can also change your Avatar picture to a nice christmasy shot. I wanted to do that but all my last years photos were of all of me simply indulging in the Christmas cheer too much. Maybe this year I might be able to grab a happy snap before the party starts!

Use Your Existing Website To Blend The Spend

If you have a website where you can start adding some articles here in there about what Christmas presents to buy, then I suggest you do so very soon. I recently wrote an article on one of my websites about Android Tablets, and which one to buy for a Christmas present. This article has already given me sales, but those sales would not exist unless I had taken the time to take action. To make money at any time of the year, you need to create articles that you can monetize.

Start A Tech Gadget Website ASAP!

If your website in no way can blend the spend as I’ve stated above, then you need to go and create a WordPress website from scratch that will allow you to grab some Christmas cash. Let’s face it, building WordPress website can take you about 10 minutes, so I really can not think of any excuses for you to use.

The other reason I suggest you make a tech gadget website is because everyone loves buying gadgets! Our world has become totally reliant on these new technology gadgets, so basically everyone in the world thinks that they need them. This is a win win situation for you to have a Merry blogging Christmas!!!

Tempt Your Visitors

At Christmas time, website visitors only have to see something, or even hear about something, to get that buying bug. If you’re not putting potential Christmas presents as images in your articles or making your website Christmas gift friendly, you are missing out on some big dollars. Its like waving a tended juicy steak in front of Rover, the family dog. This is what it is like for people at Christmas time.

Give Yourself a Big Present

You have worked all hard all year, blogging your guts out, (that means working really hard in the Aussie language) and now its time for you to treat yourself! I have already started shopping for myself and have been very naughty already! Don’t feel guilty though, as most stuff webmasters buy can be classed as legitimate tax deduction for bloggers. Sorry to mention that “TAX” word at Christmas time, but it can ease the pain of spending when you know it is tax deductible. So if you are running a full time blogging business, feel free to buy yourself a few tools to help your working hours become more productive and profitable.

Tips For Making Sales At Christmas Time

  1. Sign up to become an Amazon affiliate. They rake in the most money at Christmas time.
  2. Make your images into a link to Amazon as well as text links. (One of Andy’s cool ideas)
  3. Sign up for the Ebay partner network. People also buy gifts there.
  4. If you do not have a site that can offer Xmas presents, gadgets, and so on then make one..
  5. Think about what you can offer your website visitors. Who is my audience and if I were them, what would I buy?

    Merry christmas

Share Your Merry Blogging Christmas

The only reason I want you all to make loads of cash at Christmas time is so you can maybe pass some onto someone else. Christmas time is a lonely time for many people and if you can earn enough for you and your family, then maybe you can spare a few dollars for someone else. It is easy to place a gift under a charity Christmas tree or drop some spare clothing and blankets down to the local Salvation Army Depo. If you do not have enough money to spare, a simply smile will do. :)

Anyway have a merry blogging Christmas and thank you for all the fantastic comments you guys have given me over the past year! :)

Last minute shopping can be a bid deal online with many seller online shipment by Christmas. I used to be a eBay power seller for a while. Most customer buy gifts for their family late November or early December to ensure that they kids get them on time. You are true about starting a new website. It will hardly take any time.

Thanks for some brilliant tips here.
It’s never occurred to me to diversify woth my blog and send people off to other products , especially if they’re loosely related to my core offering.

Just a shame I didn’t find this post in October.

Hi Mitz, very cool way to get started on a niche site. I’m sure a lot of folks capitalized on this over the holiday season. I will be cleaning out my overstuffed closets and making a donation to a local charity. Some of the stuff is brand new too.
    Happy New Year Mitz!

Christmas time is definitely the time to promote your online business and make that extra cash. I like your concept of customizing your site to make it more seasonal. It is a very good way to attract customers and remind them about the holiday season…gifts to purchase! Thank you for sharing.
