We are now at a stage on the Internet where content is definitely King. Google loves content and the more quality content you have on your site the better your site will rank. ‘Content is King’ is not a phrase that you have not heard before it’s a phrase that is used everywhere.
But there is a problem, the problem being that most people don’t like to write articles as they take time, effort and a lot of energy to complete.
Problem number two is, once you post the article that took lots of effort to create and it get’s indexed by Google it is now considered old content in the eyes of the search engines.
In this article I’m going to show you how to get much more mileage out of one article and there will not be any mention of article spinning.
1# PowerPoint Presentation
This is a quite a powerful little technique that I’ve been using of late. What you have to do is turn your article into a PowerPoint presentation and then submit it to the top PowerPoint sharing websites like slideshare.net.
When you have created your PowerPoint presentation using your article you can then share it with your social networks like Facebook ,Twitter and LinkedIn.
Here is a little tip, join10 big groups on LinkedIn that are within your niche because slideshow.net lets you share your slideshow presentations with all the groups you have joined in LinkedIn. With this little tip you will get around 300 views within 24 hours. You also get a back link to your website from the presentations that you create.
Or if you’re lazy you can go to fiverr.com and pay someone five dollars to do the whole job for you. I found a gig on their where someone will turn your article into a PowerPoint presentation and then upload it to the top five PowerPoint sharing websites for five dollars.
2# Turn Your article Into A YouTube Video
Now you can either create a video with you speaking about the article. If you feel uncomfortable doing this or if you are camera shy you can create an audio with pictures showing in the background or you can use the PowerPoint presentation that you uploaded to slideshow.
Also you don’t have to just upload it to YouTube you can also upload it to all of the big video sharing websites like Daily Motion, Vimeo etc using Tubemogul.
This also works the opposite way round i.e. you can turn your YouTube video into an article and then post it on your website, create a PowerPoint presentation with it and bookmark it.
If you do decide to make a video of your article with you speaking then, you can strip the audio out of the video and then post it as a podcast.
There are so many different ways to get extra mileage out of every article or video that you create.
3# Bookmarking
This is a must, join onlywire.com. Only wire is a bookmarking service where you can bookmark anything with just one click and then they will submit your article to 35 of the top bookmarking services like Digg, Reddit, Stumble, Facebook, Twitter and more.
The only downside is that you have to joined 35 bookmarking sites manually which can be quite time-consuming. There is an easier way like I stated earlier you can go to fiverr.com and pay five dollars for someone to do the signups for you.
Onlywire.com also has a WordPress plug-in where as soon as you publish your article it will be automatically bookmarked.
Oh and by the way this same method also works using Ping.FM (I use both)
4# Retweet Old Posts
This is a WordPress plug-in that retweets your old posts to your followers. So all the posts that are on your WordPress blog will be retweeted every four hours if you choose. The plug-in is called “Tweet Old Posts” and is definitely a WordPress plug-in that you should use.
When it re-tweets your old post it also stumbles it. You can also link twitter with your Facebook fan page so when an old post is re-tweeted your fan page will be updated also. This is a very good idea because your new followers and fans may not have read your old post before.

I have just shared with you some powerful Internet Marketing techniques on how to get more mileage out of an article. Some of these tips may be known some may not be, but if you put these tips into action your article will get maximum exposure.
EasyAzon Plugin
Re-tweeting is probably one of the easier ways to get more mileage out of your article. All you have to do is copy and paste! Just be careful, as always, to not have too much duplicate content out there. Google doesn’t like that and can penalize you for it.

Thanks for your comment Norm, there’s no need to worry about duplicate content because there is none on your website. I have had my content republished on the internet multiple times. Google does not penalised you because you’re content appears on other websites and networks.
If you republished the same article or content on your own site then you could get penalised this method does not do that. All you are doing is transforming your article into different mediums and then publishing them on different networks to receive different traffic.

Although I don’t use LinkedIn for my blog, it’s a shame that I can’t have two accounts because I use one for work related issues and I can’t mix the two. I’m also using TubeMogul to distribute my videos, however I can’t use that for Vimeo because you need to have Vimeo Pro to upload with TubeMogul.

I use onlywire from time to time. It is a little tedious and time-consuming and it tends to mess up on me sometimes, but for free I can’t complain. I have been using twitter buffer to schedule a mixture of old and new tweets throughout a given day. It is easy to use and schedule, but one more thing to keep track of and queued up. There are a couple of other sites you can bookmark to in a automated or semi-automated manner. The backlinks you get from them are not great, but not terrible either.

Back links from social bookmarking isn’t as powerful as it once was but you’re not really using them for link juice you are using it to spread your content around more.

I read your article and about half of the comments, so if this is stating the same thing someone else already did, my apologies.
Although you are 100% correct in everything you said and will be a big help to anyone reading it that did not think to do all those extras (Didn’t think about PowerPoint myself). I do have something to add about the extra content, specifically the videos.
If you post the videos to your own site first, their is a good chance you could get that video ranked and bring people to your site instead of sending them off to YouTube (where they sometimes get sucked in and never leave).
AFTER you get your video indexed in Google on it’s own, then submit to all the big video sites with a link back to the already indexed video on your site.

hi there Norman great website and death we can try out screener because it’s a lot quicker and simpler to use than Camtasia. I think there are other screen capture websites out there that do the same job like Jing if I’m not mistaken. Thanks for website anyway

350 articles that’s 350 videos, 350 pod casts and 350 PowerPoint presentations That’s 1400 different piece of content. Pretty powerful way to get more traffic to your website. You could probably outsource that for a good price.

This is a very helpful post. I am new to this, so I have just been trying to “spin” my articles for HubPages, Squidoo, EzineArticles, etc.
Some people that I am learning from right now have told me that they think OnlyWire is spammy, and so they don’t use it. They only use “whitehat” techniques and prefer to manually submit to a few quality sites. You obviously don’t agree with that, but is that because you don’t think think OnlyWire is spammy, or because you think that moderate “spamminess” is OK?

OnlyWire is not Spammy because you are just bookmarking your content on a different networks. Remember some people like Digg and others stumble upon so all you are doing is promoting your content to those people.

I have never thought about submitting articles as powerpoint into slideshare. Thank you for recommending it. I will surely give it a try. I do like the bookmarking sites such digg. I generally submit a newly posted article link there and it does get listed on Google pretty fast.
