I’ve added some explanitory text to the signup page so new users don’t get confused and think they need a blog here just to have an account and I’ve added the CommentLuv Blogger download page with easy 1 click install method.
Next update to Commentluv will have Italian and Chinese language support and maybe a “traditional” method of operation that doesn’t use ajax, instead, it will fetch the latest post from the users first source after the comment has been submitted. I want to let this version settle in first and then I can work on improvements or additions.
I am working feverishly to put more pages on the site for tutorials and make all the layout play nice so let me know if there’s anything you want added to the site or plugin.
I’ve tryed using it in Blogger but the usual comment form still appearing. Is there any other needed set up?
Thanks

I must be missing something because I can’t figure out how to register my blog. When I click the button, it takes me to a page to start a comluv.com blog, but I don’t see anywhere to register my Blogger url.

anzanello: you need to install jskit commenting to your blogger blog for commentluv to work.
bcmom: enter your site url in the box marked “If you want to register your site enter the url here:”
and then choose “just a username”
that will be it, you would have registered your url.
I tried it and I did not like it. The JS-Kit plugin made it difficult for regular readers to comment. The comment Luv was not showing up. The JS kept having me register over and over again. I think I will wait until you have a better way to use Comment Luv on blogger

ljorg: please check your feed to see if it validates. I think you might have some errant javascript tags in there somewhere which is stopping commentluv from reading it

I finally found the box to register my own site. I had to log out to do it, because it doesn’t show up if you already have an account. So, my question is – can I add my url to an account/username I already have or will I have to register a new account/username/email for every blog I’d like to register?
I’m trying this on one of my blogs, but if I can get it to work, I’d like to put it on another one or two…
Very difficult to find where to add my blogs. Same issues as bcmom. I also don’t see a way to delete the blog I accidentally created while trying to register mine.
I tried to add a blog to my (original) username and it kept coming back “source not added!”. Plus, when I signed in there was some spam blog listed in my acct that was not mine.

bcmom. if you’re already registered with an account here then you can add your url to your profile and that will be it registered. if you’d like to add more urls to your account then you can do that on the /member/ page in the menu above
shetakaey: there were some users that got their details mashed in the transfer over to this new server. if you want to delete a blog, you can do that in the dashboard of the blog you created.
if you put your site url in your profile and you get an error it means another account exists with that url (probably one you created a long time ago on the old server). let me know the urls you are having problems with through the support ticket system and I’ll see what I can do

Hey Andy,
I love your commentluv plugin and using it on my wordpress blog.
I got your mail news about your launch of commnetluv for blogger platform. So I thought trying it on my test blogs. But the problem I am getting is that whenever I try to install JS-kit; after the step 1 page the google asks for some authorization which I grant it and then suddenly I get an Internal Server Error on the JS-kit site.
Can you check on this problem?

typhoon: I cannot check on jskit problems. You will need to speak to them about problems with their site.
Hi!
I wanted to add CommentLuv to my blog but I found out that it’s new registrations are currently not allowed. When will be new users able to register? Thx

moralde: thanks for popping by. this new version of commentluv is a leap ahead in code so it’s inevitable that there’ll be a few starting errors. I think we’re pretty stable with the release of 2.7.6 commentluv which irons out any issues that have arisen. anything else will be on the site/api side which can take effect without the user having to update their plugin.
give it a go and see for yourself

Hi Andy,
I think commentluv is a great idea so i tried to install it. I did everything step by step and read the usual problems in the comments to avoid it, but it’s still not showing anything in my blog? thanks

evilsquirrel: maybe you should leave your site url so I can check. it’s pretty hard to fix something if I can’t see what’s happening!
Ok It’s now working perfectly. I even blogged about it on my blog:
http://www.smartbloggerz.com/2009/06/commentluv-now-available-for-blogger-platform/
>Start your own ComLuv blog for more features
Think you should have a text link under this that people can click on to get more info so they can make a decision about starting a new blog or not.
By the way, when I click on the little red arrow by my blog post link under the comment box I don’t see any other blog posts to pick from — why is that? So how do you get ‘choose a different post to show’ to work?

jonisolis: would you mind seeing if turning off the plugin that adds the social bookmark links to your feed posts will make a difference for you?
I want to see if the api is having a problem getting past your first feed entry (I think it might be tripping up on those bookmark images that are inserted to the bottom of each item)
let me know your results
as for the link explaining about getting a blog, great idea! I have a lot of content that needs to go on the site, I’m just concentrating on getting the plugin and api completely sorted and then I can still filling up the pages for tutorials and wotnot.
thanks for your feedback!
Andy Bailey´s last blog ..How are you going to make money with your ComLuv blog?
Hey there Andy,
I’ve installed this & the js-kit- had no issues as other users above . However : I have a MAJOR issue – the APP is not showing at all – all that appears is a link & the JS logo and the link which says ‘ leave a comment ‘ LOL, thats so ridiculous A- if I had wanted a ‘Pop Up ” I would have simply enabled that feature in Blogger itself . So , how do you get the comment form to actually ” APPEAR” on ones page ? Is it somewhere in the javascript ? your response would be appreciated , or I will simply remove it and go back to my prior comment system , a ‘ pop up ‘ is really obtrusive I believe .
Wishing you guys much luck within your coding endeavors

miazoe: you need to set your jskit to “expand leave a comment” by default. you can do that in your jskit dashboard.

the video you’re referring to is an old one and is no longer relevant to commentuv.
Hi — I’m trying to help a friend (on Blogger) add comment luv to her blog; I’ve installed the Intense Debate comment system, but I can’t find a way to enable comment luv.
What’s the next step? Or, has Comment Luv been disabled for Blogger?

you need to enable commentluv from within the intense debate dashboard, tell her to visit the intense debate site, log in and view the plugins available to enable it.
