I’ve created a beta blog at http://beta.comluv.com and will be using that to provide updates to the beta testers and to answer questions that they might have.

I will be creating some more blogs for tutorials and other subjects and keep posts on the main blog (here) for site wide news and articles. There are options for contributors to make their own posts on the main blog in the future too so as long as there’s news about CommentLuv, you’ll find it here.

!Forums

I’ve decided to take the step of removing forums from the site, well, the old ones didn’t get transferred in the first place!. I did this for a few reasons..

  1. Spam bots were causing me at least a half hour of work every morning banning IP’s
  2. People use subject lines like, “it doesn’t work” which helps no one when it comes to searching
  3. The forums required separate registration and used a different platform which confused people
  4. There’s something about forums that make people think they can get away with being rude to others

Instead, there is a fully functional support ticket system in the back office now which I can use to build a database of frequently asked questions and this one thing will save me hours and hours per week! Of course, I’ll still have to go and investigate some new problems but in my experience of answering CommentLuv related support tickets since I launched the last site, I have found that there are only a few things that can go wrong and mostly it’s feed related or other javascript plugins getting in the way.

To build the database of frequently asked CommentLuv questions, I need to be asked some questions so don’t be afraid to visit your dashboard and click the support link..
