It’s to prepare the way for the release of CommentLuv Premium next month. I’ve got some big fancy pants things prepared and from now until the launch day sometime in mid November, I’ll be creating some awesome videos for a free course that I’ll be releasing in the run up to launch day.

I’m going to release a free series of videos on a strategy that I’ve used that literally forces people to pay attention to you. It’s achieved by tapping in to the response system in everyones brain called the reticular activating system . Sounds complex? haha, not really! it’s so super simple (like the survey) that anyone can do it and I’ve come up with a strategy that you can slot in to your daily internet activities to make people notice you, recognize you and remember you so that when you put something in from of them to click, tweet, share, like or read then they are much more likely to do so.

I’ve been working merrily away in my man cave on the code for premium CommentLuv.

I’ve managed to get a pre beta version of the CommentLuv functions ready and uploaded to my personal blog over at FiddyP.co.uk

Head on over there now and you can see the new pre beta version in action. Put it through it’s paces and let me know if you can see anything wrong or if you have suggestions on something that can be added.

Social Incentives

The last update of CommentLuv which enabled you to give your users the ability to get 10 last posts if they register to your site went well but, not everyone wants to let people register to their site. This is why the premium version of CommentLuv will allow you to leave registrations switched off and instead, give your readers more options to get 10 last posts to choose from when they comment.

Google +1

How about offering your readers the chance to get 10 last posts to choose from and/or get a dofollow link if they +1 your post?

Twitter

When a user starts their comment, the drop down box will offer them 10 posts to choose from if they tweet the post. As soon as the post has been tweeted, the dropdown list expands to show 10 posts.

Facebook

Everyone’s on facebook right? so why not offer them a dofollow link if they like your post and then it’ll appear on their wall and help your post get even more exposure!

Comments

Encourage even more comments by offering people 10 last posts for having 3 approved comments on your site!

Custom info panels

So sorry about the rush of updates to Commentluv that you’ve been seeing! It’s all due to the growing pains of a plugin going from one that uses my server to one that is completely standalone, all the functions for fetching and sending the feed have been moved from my server where they worked just fine and into everyone elses servers where things are much more different.

There are lots and lots of users with lots and lots of different server configurations so each time I release an update, a new issue arises that needs to be fixed. Don’t worry though, there aren’t many more updates to do! I am nearly on top of it now and there’s only the problems with w3 total cache to sort out.

Try the 2.90.6 version

I’m using the latest update 2.90.6 on this site now and I would really like it if you could try it on your site before I send it to the repository for mass downloads.

If you can, please download 2.90.6 here and install it to your site. You need to first deactivate the old one, delete it and the upload the new one. It should work just fine and there should be no danger of it messing anything up, I just want to get some feedback on this new version (good or bad) from a few people before I force loads of users to update again which happens whenever I upload a version to the repository.

I am particularly interested in hearing from people who have a caching plugin installed, once you install the plugin, clear your cache and then try a comment whilst logged out and then try a comment here using your url and please let me know in a support ticket at http://support.commentluv.com

As an incentive to try it out, good feedback will result in your site url and name being put on the download page in the thanks section!
