To start off with, we've been primarily been focused with building a community first and will look to improve monetization methods as things continue to grow. Blog networks also have big advantages in terms of SEO as well. For the network site, guest blogging started off pretty slow, but now we have over 100 registered authors--some who haven't contributed yet, but many who've written several posts. What you say about us bloggers scratching our heads about not making any money with 100,200 visits a day is so true. I guess part of it is from all the hypes about blogging and making money with blogs. Anyway, I never even thought about making my own blog network. It seems like a daunting task,a very time consuming one. But what you are illustrating shows that it could be done much easier and faster than I previously thought.
