I have found if you want comments, it doesn’t necessarily matter what you offer on your own site, but what you do on someone else’s, namely, commenting elsewhere. The more you spend time commenting on other sites, the more you will entice others to come comment on yours. And of course, this is where the things you offer on your own site come into play as they will get to your site and really be convinced that commenting will have some serious benefits to them as well.
