Sorry to mention, this is in reference to the mail feed which mentioned the transition to a paid service but still having provision for possibly getting a free blog.

Finally, someone is making sense. That is one of the best ideas that I’ve come across. I’m glad you are considering poor and hobbyist bloggers like me who wouldn’t be able to afford a paid blog.

thanks Dave! I’m hoping that I can continue to provide free support and services, charging for blogs is one way. I hope I don’t have to premium-only the url registration process although, if the current measures don’t bring in enough bacon to please the server gods then it might.

Excellent email.

You know, I started a list of how much software I’ve purchased over the years, and it’s a lot.

I’m happy to pay for software.

I suspect most people are, provided they get some value from it.

What most people don’t get about most “free” software is that it’s free as in Free. They think that because they didn’t pay for it, they are somehow entitled to catered to, for free.

Instead, they’re free to examine the source code themselves… =)
