It sounds like that is about all you got out of the night! Even motel 6 provides water for showers. lol. So how much did your other half end up paying for measured bowl of Cornflakes? But, in some rare situations, you can get much more than what you paid for. On the other hand, I think the materialism that is devouring our lives today, we put too much weight on brand names. I, for the life of me don't understand why someone would pay for say a bottle of name branded Tylenol $15 when you could get the same bottle from a generic brand for $10. I mean, the ingredient are all the same, down to every little component! And I knwo sometimes it comes down to things like trust brand recognition, but... I don't know, sorry I wen off topic, lol. One guy took exception to it even though I didn't name names! We definitely get what we pay for. My father had a saying when choosing and buying goods "buy cheap, buy twice" and I have rued the day on several occasions when I forgot that one lol With accomodation we don't have that luxury do we??!! It can spoil a holiday if we choose unwisely. Too late when we arrive at our destination and it's like you described....yikes would spoil my holiday that's for sure. Shared facilities are the norm, and everything costs extra, something that us Americans are not used to, but is a way of life there. I would advise that if it is amenities you desire, don't venture into the land, stay close to the touristy hotels around the airport.
