When building websites and forming a successful business, the aim of the game is to not let your website visitors bounce from your site.

Of course they can exit your site, but when they leave too quickly, this is a bad sign of rejection.

Feeling rejection is not a fun job, so if this is happening to you, check out these easy ways to bounce your website visitors right off your site!

Just remember, you are not meant to be doing these things listed below. Just to make that clear…

You Are Full Of Sh*T

Everyone can see your full of sh*t but you. Website visitors are not stupid and can usually tell if someone knows what they are talking about. Stop making up stories to make yourself look good and tell the truth as this is what attracts website visitors and encourages them to stay.

Your Ad Layout Looks Tacky

You have ads in your header, footer, content, sidebar, and then a popup ad too?

Maybe you could fit one more ad in above the header ad and really bounce your website visitors off!

Show a bit of sidebar etiquette or whole entire website etiquette for that matter!

You Look Like a Criminal

  • You have a photo that makes you look mean and has been taken in a poorly lit room that resembles a prison cell.
  • You don’t even have a photo. (hmm what are you hiding?)
  • There is no contact information. (Are you hiding from the police? Is this a real business?)

Your Content Just Sucks

  • Your content is so boring that your readers are snoring.
  • You have copied content that was taken without consent.
  • Your content looks unpro and this makes the website visitors GO.
  • You need to find out what quality content is before you ruin your reputation. (What reputation?)

You Promised
Info but Its Not There

  • Your website visitor clicked on a juicy link that promised the world and arrived on your site to find a 400 word article that didn’t help at all.
  • The title of your article was “How to train a dog” and the actual content is about training cats. Ahh what the heck, they are both animals.
  • You promised a free report about how to make money online and it was one page long and half of that was taken up by a photo of you.

Your Visitors Are Blinded!

  • You have a red blog with white writing. ( I went to one of these the other day so its a true story!)
  • Even worse, black with yellow writing or bright BLUE.
  • You are not using a Premium WordPress Theme, you Mizzer!
  • You are creating you business on the cheap and your css is all messed up. OCD people do not like messy sites!

Your Popups Are Slapping Faces

Your readers are just getting into your content and starting to enjoy it and a dirty big popup slaps on to the screen. They press the cross button to get rid of it but they accidentally close the browser window instead. And you wonder why you have a high bounce rate?

Your Site Looks like a Ghost Town

  • There is no movement at the station. There are no recent posts and it doesn’t look like there are any comments here. Hello!! Is anyone here?
  • Your blog has a silent feeling or an unfinished appearance. Maybe you should complete the installation and customization of your theme before opening your blog to the world.
  • I knew there was something wrong when I saw the “under construction” sign.

Are You Bouncing Your Website Visitors?

Are you guilty of getting decent website traffic and then turning them off and making them leave? Google is watching to see how long your visitors stay on your site and this, along with other factors, contributes to your sites search engine rankings. Therefore, even though this article was “trying to be funny”, the subject itself is something not to taken lightly.

How are you keeping your website visitors engaged so they stay longer on your site?
